Capcom Cafe to Sell Special Jill Sandwiches

This may come as a surprise to some of you, but Capcom’s Resident Evil, as a whole, is actually intended to be played in English.

This isn’t an argument of dub vs sub. In fact, up until the more recent installments, there wasn’t even Japanese audio at all.

Because of that, many of the iconic lines from the games are international. This includes Barry’s hilariously bad joke about Jill becoming a sandwich.

Capcom has Jill on the Menu

With that in mind, it should surprise no one that The Capcom Cafe in Ikebukuro is taking that line and running with it, offering a Jill Sandwich as part of their menu to promote the release of Resident Evil 3.

Wrapped in blue, this sandwich comes with a picture of the heroine herself included. There’s also a burger based on Nemesis and a dessert for Carlos.

Those who buy a meal get a placemat with cute, chibi artwork of Jill and Nemesis in battle. Get a drink, and you’ll get a coaster instead, with various versions of the same artwork. The event will run from April 9th until May 13, 2020.

While those of us outside of Japan won’t get to enjoy this, we at least will get to jump into the game itself in just a few more hours.
